Bio
Abhishek Rajaram Khedekar (b. 1991, Dapoli) is a photographer based in New Delhi, India. Combining documentary modes with surrealist techniques, particularly collage, his work gives voice to people at the fringes of society – the fictive elements in his work encourage us to reassess dominant narratives. His projects often stem from historical research and incorporate archival imagery. Exploring the boundaries of photography, they are conceived as installations, incorporating sculpture and audio. In 2022, Abhishek was awarded the Loose Joints x Mahler & LeWitt Studios 'Publishing Performance residency and publication prize for his project 'Tamasha'.
