Tamasha is a hundred member family, travelling from one village to the next, entertaining people to earn their livelihood. It is interesting to see the audience too. I am showing their life as it is, which seems so simple yet is so complicated within. And no matter what happenes inside, at the end of the day the show does goes on. I first saw them performing at Pandhrapur, Maharashtra. That day I just watched all that was happening behind the stage.

My journey began there, I traveled with them everywhere, each show in a different village. I talked to everyone about everything, and slowly they started discussing personal lives. Most of them opened up and spoke their heart out, some were shy and took some time to speak up. As I photographed them, they became more comfortable with me and the camera, letting me into their private spaces.
